Established in 2005, Charng-Jinn Digital Co., Ltd has provided e-book software manufacturing; digital publishing and e-book software selling in the initial period. The major mission statement is to build a communication bridge for general public reading information easily.
Therefore, the accomplishments at the initial period of Charng-Jinn Digital Co., Ltd, were naturally for government and Academic organizations. The published products include:
- Taiwan University's "Academic Programs" e-book.
- Taipei City Government's "The yearbooks of Taipei 2004" e-book.
- Tunghai University's "The document of Luce Memorial Chapel's construction process" e-book.
- Taiwan Provincial Consultative Council's "Digital Archives Program" e-book;
- Miaoli County's "County Journal" e-book.
- National Central Library's paper books into e-books when republishing...etc.
These government and Academic organizations used the budgets to present the final forms with e-book formatted, this not only keep the similar effect of paper book's reading, also successfully save the great printing budget. It's a win-win strategy for reducing cost and protecting environment.
Start from 2007 second half, Charng-Jinn Digital Co., Ltd started producing "online sketch book" and "picture book". We wish those children's book can bring different level of visual experience to children, also giving local young picture books artists more spaces to announce, and more channels to publish. The first audio anime series "I am a good child." especially invited famous Chinese language teacher Su-Lan, directed elementary school students to performance the story which belong to themselves, this was the first achievement we did on audio online sketchbook.
The flipbook software that Charng-Jinn Digital Co., Ltd represented can embedded image file, MP3 media file, anime and motion video directly to the web page, it also has access to extra links and attach files.
Readers may also be exempt from the narrow space by establish their own "Digital collections" and also can publish their own private book.
Book publishers might consider change the publishing model from paper book publishing into e-book producing format, this could save printing cost and reduce inventory cost, and it won't have a single tree to be dropped down because of a book.
